“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Reflection:
Life moves fast, even in summer. Between work, plans, errands, and the pressure to “make the most” of every day, it’s easy to stay busy without ever really being present.
But maybe God is inviting you to slow down a little. To pause. To breathe. To just be.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” That’s not just a reminder, but a sign to step out of the chaos and rest in who God is. You don’t have to hustle your way into peace. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Sometimes, you just need to stop for a moment and remember: God’s got you.
This week, let’s be a little more present – with God, with others, and with ourselves.

Ways to Slow Down and Be Present This Week:
1.) Start Your Day Slowly: Before focusing too much on your to-do list, take 5 quiet minutes to breathe, pray, or just sit with God.
2.) Take a No-Phone Walk: Go outside without distractions. Listen to the birds, feel the breeze, and thank God for the little things.
3.) Let Go of the Pressure to Do It All: You don’t have to say yes to everything. It’s okay to rest – it’s actually necessary.
4.) Pause and Just Listen: Whether you’re praying or sitting in silence, create space for God to speak to your heart.
5.) Enjoy the Little Things: Whether it’s your favorite iced coffee, a good laugh, or a sunset – slow down enough to enjoy the moment.

“You don’t have to be busy to be growing. Sometimes, God speaks loudest in the quiet.”
💫 Pray with Me 💫
God, help me to slow down and be still with You. Teach me how to rest, how to notice Your presence in the small moments, and how to stop filling every space with noise. I want to be present – with You, with others, and with myself. Amen.
This Week’s Faith Challenge:
• Pick One Time to Be Still: Choose one time this week to pause for 10–15 minutes and just be – no distractions, no phone, no rushing.
• Look for God’s Peace in Your Day: At the end of each day, write down one moment when you felt calm, grateful, or close to God.
• Do One Thing Slowly and Intentionally: Whether it’s eating, walking, or talking to a friend – do it with your full attention.

Closing Thought
You don’t have to do more to be enough. You don’t have to fill every moment to feel fulfilled.
God is with you right now, in this moment. He’s not in the rush – He’s in the stillness.
So this week, give yourself permission to slow down. To be present. To rest. And to enjoy the quiet where God’s voice becomes a little clearer.
